Our goal as breeders is to produce puppies that are top flight gun dogs but trainable for the average hunter. To start our pups down the correct path we begin controlled and supervised socialization at three (3) weeks, which continues until placement. This includes basic obedience, exposure to the household environment, loud noises, gun shot conditioning via “Masters Voice” system, and retrieving (includes water, season permitting).
We believe matching a puppy to the correct family is also key for success. In order to achieve this, we aptitude test our puppies via the Volhard method. A written report of this test accompanies each puppy with their new owner.
Our puppies are placed in their new homes between 7 and 10 weeks. The following is included with every puppy placement:
